McDonald’s Saddlery Rutledge Roper Bit

The Rutledge Roper Bit is a very misunderstood bit.  Whilst it may look to be a severe bit, when ridden with a snug curb the sweet iron mouthpiece will lay flat on the bars.  It is often used successfully on horses with damaged tongue or bars. The unique floating shank allows the curb to be drawn from side to side for another totally new feel.

Featuring stainless steel ‘floating’ shanks and sweet iron mouth with a ¾” port.  This is an effective bit for hard to stop horses, humane when used correctly.
